Jingle and Rap Contest
Theme: To Adopt an Environmentally-Friendly Lifestyle
Submit a 45- to 75-second jingle or rap on the above theme and stand to win $1000!
This contest is held in conjunction with Clean and Green Singapore 2008. The winning entry will be used to publicize the national event, and to advocate environmentally friendly lifestyles.
It can be an individual or group submission. Submit your entries via email to jinglenrap@gmail.com by 30 September 2008, 2359 hours.

Rules and Regulations
Theme: To Adopt an Environmentally-Friendly Lifestyle

Entry Conditions

This contest is open to all Singapore Citizens or PRs.

Entries must be submitted latest by 30 September 2008.

The submission must be between 45 to 75 seconds.

Maximum number of members in each group is 4.

For each registration, the participant(s) is/are allowed to submit up to 2 entries.

Entries have to be submitted by e-mail (preferably encoded as MP3 at 128Kbit/s).

In the email, please indicate the names and contact details of all the members, and a short description of the jingle or rap.

Participants with shortlisted entries will be asked to do a live demo in front of the judges.

It is fine to use other languages in the main or harmonizing lyrics, but English is to be the main medium.

The entries must be environmentally-themed. A short write-up on the song should accompany each entry to briefly explain the idea behind the song.

Participants must be the sole legal and beneficial owner of all intellectual property rights with regards to the composition (melody, lyrics and arrangement).

Entries submitted must not have won prizes in other competitions.

Any changes that the registered participant(s) would wish to make to the entry/entries after submission must be granted approval. Otherwise the first submission would be taken as the participant(s) official entry/entries.

Entries that contain material that is against public interest (including but not limited to obscene, derogatory, provocative, discriminatory, blasphemous or vulgar material) will be disqualified and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

The organisers will not be liable to any errors or data losses that occur during the submission of the entry/entries.

The organisers will not be held legally responsible for any conflict involving copyright of entries submitted (refer to point 1).
7. The organisers reserve the right to edit and use the entries submitted for non-commercial purposes.
8. The organisers reserve the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without prior notice.
9. By submitting the entry, the participant(s) accepts the Rules and Regulations as laid down by the organisers.
