1Degree up

Launched on 22 October 2007 in Green Carnival 2007 by Dr Amy Khor, Mayor of South West District and Senior Parliamentary Secretary of MEWR, and Mr Joseph Mullinix, NUS Deputy President (Administration), the setting of all thermostats to 25ºC has successfully reduced energy consumption and realized sizable energy savings in NUS.
SWITCH OFF stickers were placed at all electrical outlets to remind people to switch off the lights before they leave the room. In addition, Do Your Bit! stickers were pasted on thermostats to remind people to set the temperature to 25ºC.
